Lancashire Flood Recovery Appeal 2020 - Storm Ciara

Emergency grants for individuals and families

Grants may be made for charitable purposes to relieve hardship in Lancashire caused directly by Storm Ciara in 2020.

Who can apply?

• Uninsured households whose properties and contents have been damaged by Storm Ciara

 We can provide support for the following:

• emergency repairs
• clothing
• child care equipment
• basic furniture
• white goods

This is not an exhaustive list. If you are unsure whether you are eligible to apply please get in touch.

Priority will be given to households with:

• people over 70
• children under five
• people with physical or learning disabilities or mental health needs (eg receiving Disability Living Allowance, Incapacity Benefit or Attendance Allowance)
• low incomes/people on benefits

 We will not normally fund:

• people who are insured
• vehicles
• businesses
• landlords

 How much can you apply for?

Grants up to £1000 are available.  Due to limited funding we cannot consider applications from households that have insurance and applications will be prioritised according to the priority criteria mentioned above.

 The application form asks you for the name of a referee who is known to you and can vouch for your circumstances. The application form and details of how to apply are available on our website – www.lancsfoundation.org.uk. One of the conditions of the grant is that recipients share the story of how the funds have helped them at this time.
