Working with Charitable Trusts & Foundations

Westminster Foundation

The Westminster Foundations works in partnership with Liverpool ONE and Grosvenor on the Liverpool ONE Foundation. They have worked since 2009 to undertake their local grant-making in Merseyside via the Community Foundation, benefitting from our local knowledge and networks as well as to have greater impact by working in partnership with other investors.

“Working with the Community Foundations is the way to tap into an understanding of needs and issues in communities and also the best way to deliver effective solutions. As a national funder you can’t know all the issues or needs, and the Community Foundations have an objective understanding of it all – and, they are particularly good at it”’
Jane Sandars, Director of the Westminster Foundation

WO Street Foundation

The WO Street Foundation created a specific Transition Fund for the area with the Community Foundation in 2011 to support charitable innovation and sustainability projects within the original charitable objects set out by Mr Street for the W O Street Foundation. This partnership gives the opportunity to WO Street to extend their reach of support into communities and fund new and grassroots projects otherwise unknown to them due to the benefit of Community Foundation expertise.

Garfield Weston Foundation

The Community Foundation has worked with the Garfield Weston Foundation on undertaking tailored outreach work to support their grant-making activities in the North West. This work has enabled them to improve their reach to community groups and charities at a local level due to our local Community Foundation networks and expertise.

We welcome working in partnership with trusts and foundations to provide local outreach, expert knowledge and contracted grant-making to achieve mutual aims. For more information and to discuss potential ways of working together, please contact philanthropy@cflm.email
