About the fund

The Community Foundation for Lancashire (CFL) are pleased to open this next round of the Lancashire Red Rose Responding Fund. The overall aim of the fund is to support local charities, voluntary and community organisations that are helping vulnerable people – specifically relating to mental health.

Fund Criteria

The fund can consider community organisations with an income level of under £250,000 for projects that meet at least one of the following priorities:

BAME Community

This includes provision from organisations with the understanding of cultural backgrounds and able to offer multilingual support if needed.

LGBTQ+ Community

This includes provision from organisations with the understanding of cultural backgrounds and able to offer multilingual support if needed.

People with Physical or Learning Difficulties

This includes provision from organisations with the understanding of cultural backgrounds and able to offer multilingual support if needed.

Older People

The fund will look to support older people who experience social isolation

Young People up to the Age of 25

The fund will look to support young people, up to the age of 25, where poor mental health is having an impact on social and educational engagement.

  • The fund budget is limited, and we expect many applications to be received. The focus for the fund is to help build capacity for smaller grassroots organisations with an annual income of under £250,000.

Documents which need to be included with your application:

  1. A copy of your governing document.
  2. A copy of your latest annual accounts or income/expenditure document.
  3. A copy of a recent bank statement for your group. If you do not have a bank account in place, you must be able to nominate another organisation to hold the funds (CVS, another local charity, church etc.).

All applicants must ensure that they hold relevant policies and procedures in place to undertake activities, such as Criminal Records Bureau checks and/or a health and safety policy, depending on proposed activity. If unsure, we recommend taking advice from your local CVS.

If you have applied to us within the last 12 months and provided this information, we do not need you to send it again, although we may require a more recent bank statement.
