Personal Giving

If you’re just starting out on your charitable giving journey, we are here to provide you with the support, guidance, and structure, you need to make those important decisions and put your plans into action. We work with many families and high net-worth individuals who are passionate about their local community and want to make a difference.

You might already have funds or charities in mind that you are keen to support, or you could be looking to set up a fund in your name. If that’s the case, the likelihood is that you have a cause which is particularly close to your heart, or a specific location you would like to focus on. We will work with you to understand your interests, and using our own expertise and extensive knowledge, combined with background research, will ensure that your giving is addressing real local need and making an impact.

Set up a fund

We are here to help guide you through the process from start to finish, providing ongoing support tailored to you.

First steps – what you can expect from us

  • Information and guidance on where local need is greatest, utilising our extensive knowledge, research and networks
  • Visits to community groups relevant to the causes you are interested in supporting
  • Meeting other donors we work with to learn from their experiences, and share best practice and insights
  • A clear charitable giving proposal and structure, bespoke to your needs and aspirations
  • A written Fund Agreement which outlines our joint commitment

Managing your fund

We take away the stress of managing your fund, providing a full support service which ensures sound management and due diligence, making giving easy, tax-efficient and robust. We’re able to be flexible too and can adapt to your charitable giving goals to reflect changing local needs and personal priorities.

What we provide:

  • A dedicated account manager, and centralised fund management
  • Complete transparency and a robust, tax-efficient, and diligent approach to managing and administering your funds
  • Targeted promotion of your fund to those grass roots community groups able to deliver your charitable giving goals
  • As part of our thorough assessment process, a shortlist of projects, to help you make informed decisions
  • Extensive due diligence to thoroughly check eligibility of applicants
  • ‘Seeing is Believing’ project visits so you can see your generosity in action
  • Regular reports so you can see the real impact of your giving, providing you with the satisfaction that you have achieved what you set out to do

Leave a gift in your will

Another option as part of your charitable giving plans is to leave a gift in your will. This can be a real opportunity to leave a lasting legacy. We can help you create a legacy that reflects your personal wishes, and supports issues and causes you care about, benefitting future generations for years to come.
