Merry Christmas from all of us at the Community Foundations for Lancashire & Merseyside.
As we reach the end of the year, we want to thank you for being part of our community, whether as a donor, volunteer or grassroots community group.
Your commitment helps us to stay connected to the needs of our region, create positive change and improve the lives of disadvantaged people locally.
Spreading Christmas Magic with the Lapland Foundation
This December, we teamed up with the Lapland Foundation to help bring extra Christmas cheer to children and families who might otherwise miss out.
Through this partnership, we collected and distributed 500 Christmas stockings to community groups across Lancashire and Merseyside, each one filled with gifts and the true spirit of the season.
Supporting 10 Christmas Parties Across the Region
We provided £500 festive grants to 10 local organisations, helping them host Christmas parties for:
- young carers
- families in crisis
- survivors of domestic abuse
- children and young people facing disadvantage
These celebrations brought joy and togetherness to hundreds of young people across our region.
Thank You for Being Part of Our Community
It has been a privilege working with our donors throughout the year to support the exceptional work of so many community groups. Ending the year by helping a number of those groups spread Christmas cheer feels especially meaningful.
This partnership with the Lapland Foundation embodies the true Christmas spirit, coming together to spread kindness and hope where it’s needed most.
