Seeing Is Believing: Lancashire Businesses Witness Community Impact in Action
Members of Lancashire Investors in Community (LIiC) recently took part in a powerful ‘Seeing is Believing’ visit to two grassroots organisations: HARV Domestic Abuse Services and Spring into Action CIC in Accrington. These visits are one of the many benefits of joining LIiC, offering members the opportunity to connect directly with local charities and experience firsthand the difference their support makes on the ground.
Transformative Local Projects
HARV Domestic Abuse Services has been supporting survivors of domestic abuse across Hyndburn and beyond for over two decades. With a deep commitment to women, children, and families affected by abuse, HARV offers safe accommodation, counselling, outreach support, and educational work. Thanks to Community Foundation grant support, HARV has expanded its vital services, including trauma-informed care and prevention work in schools.

Spring into Action CIC empowers people with learning disabilities and autism to lead fulfilling lives and be active citizens. Based in Accrington, their projects range from inclusive social activities to training, volunteering, and advocacy work. Past grant support has enabled Spring into Action to offer inclusive events, skills development sessions, and increase awareness around accessibility and inclusion in the local community.

These projects exemplify the kind of grassroots impact that Lancashire Investors in Community aims to amplify.
