The Community Grants programme

Nationwide Building Society was founded to help people into homes of their own and its ambition that everyone should have a place fit to call home stands firm today. The Nationwide Community Grants programme awards grants of up to £50,000 to local housing projects that will strengthen local communities by supporting the most vulnerable by:

Nationwide believes doing what is right by their members and their communities is at the heart of what it means to be a building society. Following a member vote in 2007, Nationwide invests at least 1% of pre-tax profits to support good causes each year.

Charities, Community Land Trusts and housing co-operatives can apply for grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 to support local housing projects.  The closing date is Friday 5th July 2019.

Community Foundations for Lancashire and Merseyside will be holding a funding advice session for the Nationwide Community Grants Programme on Wednesday 26 June from 1.30pm to 4.30 pm.  This will provide prospective applicants with an opportunity to discuss their application with a representative from the Foundation.  30 minute slots are available to discuss applications over the phone. To book a slot, please email applications@cflm.email or ring 0330 440 4900.
